The wonderful folks at Three Dog Bakery are once again going out of their way to help the homeless and needy dogs of DFW. On May 1, they kicked off their annual food drivem which will benefit the Duke and Oliver Foundation. The Foundation will then distribute the meals among four wonderful rescue groups: Mazie’s Mission, Animal Rescue Klub (A.R.K.), Duck Team 6 Street Dog Rescue, and Flower Mound Humane Society.
The food drive is also a friendly competition among all the Three Dog Bakery stores across the Unites States and Canada. The winner will receive 100 pounds of treats from the Corporate Office. To sweeten the pie, owner Christy Howard-Hill will match the 100-pound treat reward if they win, providing 50 pounds of treats for each rescue.
Helping is simple: $1 provides 1 meal for a hungry dog. You can stop by either Three Dog Bakery location (Southlake or Plano) and drop your monetary donation in their collection buckets. Don’t forget to bring your fur-kids with you – it’s a veritable treat heaven for doggies. You’re sure to find something you just have to have, and you’ll be helping several great rescue groups at the same time.
The food drive will continue through May 30, 2013.
