Artists for Animals, a Dallas-based nonprofit that brings local artists, sculptors, musicians, writers and animal lovers together to support animal rescue charities in North Texas, and professional photographer Teresa Berg
Each year, hundreds gather to enjoy a night of festivities and fine art to benefit Operation Kindness – the largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas. Guests will be treated to refreshments, sweet and savory hors d’oeuvres and musical performances by members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Harp Quartet, Brian Piper Trio and musicians from the SMU Meadows School of the Arts. Tickets start at $100 and include complimentary wine and dessert.
In addition to entertainment, the event will have a silent auction where attendees can bid on a variety of animal-themed paintings and photography, including a gallery highlighting artwork by students from Booker T. Washington High School.
Concert for Kindness is Artists for Animals’ largest annual fundraising event with all proceeds benefitting Operation Kindness. Artists for Animals was formed seven years ago by professional photographer Teresa Berg and Erin Hannigan, Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Oboist. The idea behind the organization was to fuse their talents of photography and music to support animal rescue charities in North Texas.
