Hello from Cusco, Peru! It’s absolutely beautiful in this country, and I can’t wait to write my next Featured Review, which will be called ‘Dogs of Peru’. So far I’ve seen about 50 dogs, and they are magnificent – all of them. I’ve only seen one hungry dog, thank goodness, although I’m sure they are here somewhere. However, for the most part, Peruvian pooches are beloved…although not the way we Americans would think. More on this later.
I also wanted to provide an update on my neighbor’s dog. On Tuesday, I went straight home from work and went to my neighbor’s house and knocked on the door. After a few minutes, she answered and smiled at me, which I took as a good sign. I asked how her puppy was doing and said I’d been worried all day about her. She said the dog was fine, and was playing normally, but when I asked to see her she said the puppy was sleeping. *frown*
I don’t blame her one bit for not wanting me to see her dog; I’m sure she thought I’d try to pick her up again. I can still hear the puppy’s cries when she fell and it makes me feel so guilty. I had to leave for Peru the next day so I really do hope that her doggy is fine and that she has a very hard skull. I´ll try my best to check on the puppy again when I return home next week.
More when I return!
