Meet our newest Dog of the Week, Knox! Knox is a 1.5-year-old Australian Cattle mix from Richmond, VA who now lives in Dallas with his owner, Camden. Knox enjoys sniffing around outside for hours, chewing on bones and treats, digging, swimming in the water, and cuddling with mama. He is not a fan of car rides, baths, and (most of the time) his sister. Knox’s favorite treats are bone marrow bones.
Camden tells us, “About a year and a half ago, I was looking online at a local rescue’s page and saw his story. His mama and all her puppies were dumped on the side of the road and his mama had been hit and killed by a car. These poor puppies were found huddled around her basically waiting to die. They were found and taken to a high kill shelter as an ‘unwanted litter.’ The rescue we adopted him from chose him and his litter to save and brought all of them safely into foster homes. When I saw his picture, I knew he was the one. He has done more for my grief healing than I ever thought possible. My mom passed away suddenly 4.5 years ago and this little pup has changed the way I look at the world after that. He is so full of love and life. He has brought so much happiness and unconditional love into my life. Without him, I truly don’t know where I’d be. Honestly…who rescued who?”
What a great story! Congratulations to Knox for being the DallasDogLife.com Dog of the Week!
