Meet our newest Dog of the Week, Bleu!
Bleu is a 4 1/2 year old Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix who lives in Plano with his mom, Amanda. Bleu’s enjoys playing fetch but not giving up the ball, wearing bandanas, cuddling on the couch with dad, day dreaming out the window, and going to grandma’s! Bleu appreciates promptness, and does not appreciate not getting his dinner exactly when he wants it, when mom and dad go to work all day. His favorite treat is peanut butter!
Amanda tells us, “Bleu literally appeared into our lives out of nowhere! My then-boyfriend (now husband) and I were in no position to get a dog when Bleu found me on a golf course in Wylie, but Bleu had other plans! I was working at Woodbridge Golf Club at the time, and as I was driving around the course I saw this tiny, black ball of fur trotting around the green! I thought, “Someone left their puppy out and he’s going to get hit by a golf ball.” So, I scooped him up and let him ride with me back to the Pro Shop. I noticed he was in bad shape (fleas, wormy belly, thirsty) so I quickly realized that no one had lost their dog — it seemed like he was abandoned at the golf course. After a few phone calls and a round of golf later, no one had been by to claim their puppy. So, he came home with me that night and the rest is history. Bleu has been my best friend for 5 years, and counting!”
Sounds like a match made in heaven! Congratulations to Bleu for being the DallasDogLife.com Dog of the Week!
