Dallas Dog Celebrities

If you haven’t already, be sure to pick up the August issue of “The Bark” magazine. Two Dallas dogs, Penny and Nemo, are the cover models for this issue! I had the opportunity to meet these two beauties at a reception held at the Lucky Dog Barkery on Thursday, July 10. Both dogs belong to Melissa Boesh of Dallas, an angel who took in two dogs that needed a heaping helping of love and kindness.

Penny is a gorgeous “Heinz 57″ dog, who is friendly and loving to all…quite a personality considering the horrific past she’s had to endure. Nemo is a Beagle with a deformed leg, so he is named after the little fish in Finding Nemo. Nemo is bouncy and energetic, with an ever-wagging tail and an attitude that says three working legs is more than enough to get the job done. Penny was found in a ditch with a broke pelvis, pregnant, malnourished and many other signs of abuse. After being adopted by Melissa, these new celebrities are thriving in their new home and are loving their tour and the opportunity to meet their fans!
