PatioPaws is Dog City Training Center’s newest addition to it’s ever growing number of courses. It is focused on developing well-mannered dogs able to accompany their owners to locations where food and beverages are served. The instructors see this as a step beyond the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen program. PatioPaws dogs are expected to be good citizens, plus take it a step further by introducing obstacles and distractions the dog will only see when they go out to a
restaurant or bar. And yes, the class also focuses on the human end of the leash as well! The growth of animal friendly locations are on the rise and so are the number of dogs we see out and about. By taking this class, an owner is doing their part to ensure their dog possess the skills necessary to enjoy the time out with their owner as well as staying in control throughout a myriad of sensory overloads! Dog City Training Center hopes every dog owner will take advantage of the class! Dog City Training Center wants to ensure the dogs they teach have been thoroughly trained in dealing with obstacles, sounds and distractions specific to a restaurant or bar. It will give the dogs an opportunity to practice in a real-world environment and correct any issues that might arise. Upon completion, we want restaurants and bar owners to know PatioPaws dogs can be counted on to be their best customers! We have 2 classes starting soon. Please visit our website for more information and to enroll.
