Q: Why do I need to register on DallasDogLife?

You do not have to register to use most of the features on DallasDogLife, such as reading content, submitting a question for Ask the Vet, or accessing the blog. However, you do need to register for submitting an Upcoming Event for the calendar, submitting a DDL Community piece, or adding a Business Listing. Basically you need to register in order to submit something that will be posted to our site.

Q: I just registered with DallasDogLife. Will I start receiving Newsletters?

You will need to sign up for a Newsletter using the Subscribe box on the home page or  the link on the Newsletters tab. This is different from being a registered user on the site.  When you sign up for a Newsletter, you provide your name and email address and we will send you an email asking you to confirm that you really do want to receive a newsletter from DallasDogLife. If you do not confirm, we have to assume that someone else submitted your name and email address and that you really did not want to receive the newsletter. If you did not receive your confirmation email or accidentally deleted it, just resubmit your name and email address and we will resend a confirmation email to you.

Unfortunately, even the most careful of pet parents may need to find emergency care for their dogs. The first step is to be prepared. Find an emergency clinic close to your home and post their number in a prominent place or save it to your mobile phone. If your dog shows signs of serious injury or trauma, you can call the clinic for advice and if necessary, inform them that you are on your way with your dog so they can prepare for your arrival.
