Camp Wolfgang in Ennis is the latest rescue group to become a victim of the economy, having made the decision to close its doors at the end of this month. Nearly 200 German Shepherds and other large breed dogs must be adopted or transferred to other rescue groups right away.

Camp Wolfgang representatives report that the decision to close was difficult, but it costs $15,000 each month to provide quality care for what was originally nearly 400 dogs.

How can you help?

- Pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested in adopting a dog
- Share this with anyone who may be able to provide transport for a dog from Camp Wolfgang to one of the rescue groups stepping up to help (in Texas and 14 other states!)
- ke a donation to pay for the cost of transportation or to care for the dogs for the remainder of the month
- Contact your local rescue group or shelter to see if they can help
