Meet Sasha, a two-year-old American Eskimo who loves to go on walks - as long as it's not too hot or cold!

Sasha was born on May 1, 2007 and is owned by Krissa D. of Dallas. Sasha loves to go for walks, to lay underfoot, and prefers "people food" to dog food. Sasha's favorite treat is peanut butter, and his only pet peeve is that he's not very fond of one of his fur-brothers, Tahoe.

Krissa says, "We call him Puffer because he pants all day - due to all that fur and the heat. Yet when it is 20 degrees outside, he does not want to have anything to do with it. He is also vertically challenged, and can't jump to save his life."

Congratulations to Sasha for being the DallasDogLife Dog of the Week!

If you have a child, help them develop a positive relationship with dogs by teaching them how to greet properly. Always ask the owner if you can pet their dog. Some dogs are frightened of children and may growl or snip if a child lunges at them. If the owner says yes, curl your hand into a fist with the back of your hand facing upward. Slowly extend your hand toward the dog and let him sniff your hand. Never try to pet a strange dog on the top of their head and don't force a child that is scared of dogs to greet a dog.

Will you take your dog to any St. Patrick's Day events?
