A kind couple in Burleson took in a starving mama dog and her 8 pups. As best they can tell, the mom seems to be a Chow/German Shephard mix and the puppies all look a little like Labs. The mom is skittish and protective and won't let anyone near her, but the pups all seem to be social (one is a bit shy). The two white pups are female and the rest are male.

They found the dogs on June 3 so they are guessing the pups are 7-8 weeks old. They are eating solid food and seem to be healthy. The couple can't catch the mom so the pups have been outside with their mom (in shade with food and water) but it's very hot so they need forever homes right now! They do have some fleas (it's summertime, after all) but that can be easily fixed.
