I hope everyone is enjoying the little "cold front" we've been experiencing in DFW these last few days! When I returned from L.A. on Thursday, I was bracing for our standard August scorching temps and was pleasantly surprised by the cool weather. My dogs have enjoyed it tremendously since they get to walk longer without becoming overheated. But remember, just because the weather has cooled slightly doesn't mean it's safe to leave your pooches alone in a parked car. Research shows that on a sunny day, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise to 100 degrees or more, even when the temperature outside is in the 70s. So continue to be careful with your fur-babies!
