Valentine Singles Mingle for Dogs and Their Humans Print
Wednesday, February 11 2009, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm by admin Hits : 426

Dee’s Doggie Den owner Dee Fort and her husband Evan met through their dogs, well sort of. Actually having dated in high school in Houston in the 80’s, years had past and Dee moved on to Dallas and opened her Doggie Daycare, the first in Dallas! Little did she know Evan too lived in Dallas and was seeking a place to take his 4-legged best friend for grooming! So with dog in tow, Evan went to Dee’s Doggie Den and-poof, they rekindled that High School spark and the rest is history!

Dee could tell you other stories of East Dallas friends that she connected through doggie play-dates so Dee decided it’s time for a singles mingle; you just never know who your dog might get you talking to!

With treats catered by Franki’s Lil’ Europe, refreshments, a raffle and prizes if you’re single, grab your dog and come to Dee’s Doggie Den on Wednesday, February 11th from 7:30p-9p. Let your 4-legged friends mingle in the 8,000 square foot play area and see what happens!

Your $10 donation will support Animal Alert!, a collaborative effort between East Dallas neighborhood residents passionate about the well being and safety of our pets! Animal Alert! rescues and fosters escaped, lost or abandoned pets from our streets until their owners or a new home is found!

Dogs can get sunburned too, so be sure to apply sunscreen when your dog will be out in the sun for extended periods of time. Apply sunscreen to the tips of his ears, bridge of his nose, groin area, inside of the legs and the underbelly. Be sure to use a sunscreen that does NOT contain PABA or Zinc Ozide (which is harmful to dogs if ingested) or a brand made specifically for dogs.
