Pre-Sports Class - Location: Pappy's Pet Lodge Are you interested in dog sports, but just can’t decide? Would you like to know more about activities can get involved in? Learn foundation skills for Flyball, Agility, Frisbee, and Freestyle - students practice control commands and progress to sports-specific commands. You will learn to increase and maintain your dog’s focus in high-distraction environments, sample active dog sports, and have fun. Students will be taught the meaning of motivation and drive to enhance their dog’s natural strengths of jumping, running, retrieving, and play and get to work on some equipment.
This is a 6 week class Class dates - May 5 - June 16, 2012 Class times - 12pm - 12:50pm Traci Murdock, CPDT-KA, is a Master Trainer, Canine Behavior Specialist, Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and Talent Scout and Wrangler. She has been training for over 10 years and her expertise includes pet dog issues, nutrition, behavior issues, dog sports and activities, and rescue and adoption – she has experience in just about any dog-related subject and volunteers as a behavior consultant for rescues and shelters. Traci created the Hollywood Dog™ class and teaches owners the skills necessary to break into show business and Reactive Dog™ classes to help people learn to manage their dogs’ out of control behaviors and teach the dog the skills needed to have more normal interactions with the world around them. Dogs can get sunburned too, so be sure to apply sunscreen when your dog will be out in the sun for extended periods of time. Apply sunscreen to the tips of his ears, bridge of his nose, groin area, inside of the legs and the underbelly. Be sure to use a sunscreen that does NOT contain PABA or Zinc Ozide (which is harmful to dogs if ingested) or a brand made specifically for dogs. |
