Who Let the Dogs Out, WOOF, WOOF, WOOF, WOOF

It is that time of the year for the 2nd Annual East Kessler Pet Parade and Fundraiser! Bring your pet dog, cat, bird, rabbit, turtle, hamster, snake, etc. to strut their stuff in front of the judges. Award Categories this year are:

Best Dressed---Best Fur Do---Best Trick---Best Pet & Peep Look Alike---Congeniality---Most Visually Challenged

Additional highlights will be a Blessing of the Animals by Dr. Tim McLemore of Kessler Park United Methodist Church; a Demonstration of Dog Agility Training; Potential adoption of pets with Dog & Kitty City and Border Collie Rescue of Texas as well as several other community organizations and our neighborhood.

Date: Saturday, April 10, 2010
Time: 9:30 am Registration with Parade beginning at 10:00 am
Where: Coombs Creek Trail where Junior Drive and Kessler Parkway intersect

Registration Fee - This year East Kessler Park Neighborhood Association has adopted Dog & Kitty City, a no kill animal shelter. A voluntary donation is being highly suggested to this worthwhile organization. Examples include but are not limited to:

Dogs - Alpo or Pedigree canned dog food, frozen Biljac , freeze-dried liver treats, KONG (TM) toys, New Chew toys and plush toys, treats such as Dog Biscuits, Rawhide Chews, Pig Ears, collars, leashes
Cats - Friskies, Fancy Feast, 9 lives canned cat food, cat treats such as Whiska Linkin’s crunchy or chewy or Friskie’s Party Mix , Cat litter, 99% dust free Clay - Fresh Step, Maxi Cat or Tidy Cat, Cat beds, Cat trees

For a full list of needs, please visit Dog & Kitty City’s website at www.dognkittycity.org under Donations and Shelter Wish list. A $5 donation may be made in lieu of an actual product donation.

Folding Chairs are not available this year. Please bring your own if you so desire.

Everyone is welcome regardless if you have a pet or not. Please come and join in the fun!
