Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas

DALLAS—March 20, 2009—Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas (MSRNT), in conjunction with Premier Wines of Plano, will host a Wine Tasting on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 5-7:30 p.m. Guests will be able to taste 12 vintages of wine, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Merlot, Bordeaux and Cabernet, and can participate in a guided tasting class. The evening includes a silent auction, appetizers, and the opportunity to purchase jewelry from “The Silver Schnauzer.”

Tickets are $25 (tax deductible), and all proceeds will benefit the ongoing work of MSRNT, a non-profit organization that rescues Miniature Schnauzers in need, provides foster homes—and medical care where necessary—for the dogs until a permanent loving home can be found.

“We are delighted that Premier Wines has offered to host our ‘Sipping for Schnauzers’ event,” said Carole Ann Smith, president of MSRNT. “Premier Wines is a great neighbor that regularly supports the community through events such as this.”

MSRNT encourages people looking for pets to “opt to adopt” instead of purchasing a puppy to ease the tremendous over-population of great pets who are in need of good homes. MSRNT has found new homes for more than 500 Miniature Schnauzers since the all-volunteer group received non-profit status in 2006.
