Turtle Creek Association presents “Easter in the Park”, featuring the 24th Annual Pooch Parade on Easter Sunday - April 12, 2009. The free event, benefiting beautification projects in the Turtle Creek corridor, will be held at Lee Park, located on the corner of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Lemmon Avenue. Guests are invited to bring picnic lunches or purchase a variety of “State-Fair-type” foods at the venue. Registration for the Pooch Parade Contest begins at 11 a.m. and costs $10 per dog, per category: “Best Big Dog,” “Best Little Dog,” “Best Dressed Dog” and “Best Owner/Pet Look-A-Like Dog.”

Celebrity judges will be on hand to decide the best in each of the four categories.The event begins with a “Parade of Adoptable Dogs” at 12:45 p.m., followed by the Pooch Parade, and ends with a live concert by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra beginning at 3 p.m., weather permitting.
